Pubcon Las Vegas - Guy Kawasaki

Pubcon started things off this morning with a dazzling signature keynote address from the famed Guy Kawasaki. His focus was in rallying the webmaster world troops to continue innovating and doing things differently to stay ahead of the web curve. Guy’s speaches are fun to watch because of his 10/20/30 rule which means he used 10 power point slides delivered in 20 minutes using a 30 pt font. Ok, so he went a little longer on time and used 15 slides but still it’s a good idea. The tone was set very well for the webmaster world conference although I think he beat the Apple drum a little too loudly.

Most people appreciate Apple computers but the fact remains that 90 percent of web traffic is from IE userson Windows operating systems. As much as I would love to switch sides I am forced to stay a Dell owner running windows and IE7. The reason being that I feel it keeps me more in touch with my web users and site visitors. Guy Kawasaki had somegreat points regarding innovation and being different.
